HannyHond Dog Walking & Sitting Services – Terms and Conditions

This agreement is entered into between HannyHond (KVK: 94879583) and the client (hereafter referred to as “parties”). The parties agree to the following terms:

1. Booking and Pre-Service Requirements

Before commencing any dog walking or pet sitting services, the client must complete the online booking form available at Book an Appointment. The client must provide accurate and complete information regarding their dog’s health, behavior, vaccinations, and any specific needs. This information is essential to ensure the safety and proper care of the dog during service.

2. Privacy Policy (Effective as of September 21, 2024)

HannyHond is committed to protecting the personal data of its clients in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This section explains what personal data is collected, how it is used, and what rights clients have regarding their data.

  1. Collected Data: Name, address, contact details, health information about the dog, and other relevant information necessary for providing services.
  2. Purpose of Processing: Providing the agreed-upon services, communication with the client, invoicing, and compliance with legal obligations.
  3. Legal Basis for Processing: Fulfillment of contractual obligations, legal requirements, and the legitimate interests of HannyHond.
  4. Sharing of Data: Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or necessary for providing services (e.g., in emergency veterinary situations).
  5. Data Retention: Data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law.
  6. Security Measures: We take technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
  7. Client Rights:
    • Access to Data: Clients have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold.
    • Data Correction: Clients have the right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
    • Data Erasure: Clients have the right to request the deletion of their personal data under certain conditions.
    • Restriction of Processing: Clients have the right to request a restriction on the processing of their data under certain circumstances.
    • Data Portability: Clients have the right to receive their personal data in a structured, commonly used format.

3. Service Provision Terms

HannyHond reserves the right to refuse service to any dog that shows signs of illness, aggressive behavior, or inappropriate social interactions. Services are only provided to dogs that meet the following criteria:

  • Fully vaccinated.
  • Registered in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Socialized and non-aggressive.

4. Client Responsibilities

  1. Providing Accurate Information: The client must provide truthful and complete information about their dog’s health, behavior, and specific needs.
  2. Health and Vaccination:
    • Ensure the dog is healthy and regularly vaccinated against common diseases, including kennel cough (Bordatella & Parainfluenza).
    • For puppies, vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, rabies, and leptospirosis are required.
    • Provide a copy of the vaccination records upon request.
  3. Parasite Prevention: Ensure regular treatment against fleas, ticks, and worms.
  4. Behavioral Information: Inform HannyHond of any known behavioral issues (aggression, anxiety, fear, etc.).
  5. Access to the Dog:
    • Ensure safe and easy access to the dog’s location by providing necessary keys or access codes.
    • Keys will not be labeled with the address and will only be used for the purpose of providing services.
    • HannyHond will ensure the property is secured when leaving.
  6. Dog Equipment: Ensure the dog has a suitable collar or harness and a leash in good condition.
  7. Liability for Damages: The client is responsible for any damages or injuries caused by their dog to third parties or property during the service.
  8. Emergency Contacts: Provide up-to-date contact details and veterinarian information for emergencies.
  9. Insurance: It is recommended that the client holds appropriate liability insurance for any damages caused by their dog.

5. Marketing and Use of Photos and Videos

HannyHond reserves the right to take photos and videos of dogs during walks or sitting services. These materials may be used on our website and social media for marketing purposes. The client agrees that:

  • These materials remain the intellectual property of HannyHond.
  • They may be used without compensation to the client.
  • If the client objects to the use of photos or videos, they must inform HannyHond in advance.

6. Payment and Cancellation

  • Payment: Services must be paid for in advance as per the agreed payment terms.
  • Unpaid Services: HannyHond reserves the right to cancel services without notice if payment is not received.
  • Cancellation by the Client:
    • More than 48 hours before the scheduled service:
      • Cancellation is free of charge.
      • The paid amount will be fully refunded or can be applied to a future service, as per the client’s preference.
    • Less than 48 hours before the scheduled service:
      • A cancellation fee equal to 100% of the service price will be charged.
      • The paid amount will not be refunded.
  • Rescheduling the Service:
    • More than 48 hours before the scheduled service:
      • Rescheduling is possible without any fee, subject to the provider’s availability.
      • If a suitable alternative date cannot be agreed upon, the client may cancel the service without any fee, and the paid amount will be fully refunded.
    • Less than 48 hours before the scheduled service:
      • Rescheduling is not permitted.
      • In such cases, the client must cancel the service, and a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the service price will be charged.
  • Cancellation by the Provider:
    • If the provider needs to cancel the service due to unforeseen circumstances, the client will be informed as soon as possible.
    • The client will be offered an alternative service date or a full refund of the paid amount.
  • No-Show by the Client:
    • If the client fails to appear at the agreed time without prior notice, the reservation will be considered canceled, and a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the service price will be charged.
  • Repeated Cancellations:
    • In the case of repeated cancellations, the provider reserves the right to decline further cooperation.

7. Liability

  • HannyHond is not liable for any injury, illness, death, or damages caused by the dog during the care unless due to gross negligence or willful misconduct by HannyHond.
  • The client agrees not to hold HannyHond liable for any losses or damages caused by their dog to third parties.
  • In emergencies, HannyHond has the right to seek necessary veterinary care for the dog at the client’s expense.

8. HannyHond’s Rights and Responsibilities

  1. Safety and Care: HannyHond will provide services with due care and attention to the safety of the dog.
  2. Emergency Situations: In case of emergency, HannyHond will contact the client and/or the veterinarian. If the client cannot be reached, HannyHond will take necessary action at their discretion.
  3. Refusal or Termination of Service: HannyHond reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if the dog poses a risk to itself, other animals, or HannyHond staff.

9. Client Responsibilities for Pet Sitting

If pet sitting is part of the service:

  1. Food and Supplies: The client must provide enough food and supplies for the entire duration of the pet sitting.
  2. Instructions: Provide detailed instructions regarding feeding, medication, daily routine, and any special needs of the dog.
  3. Health Status: Inform HannyHond of any health conditions or limitations of the dog.

10. Final Provisions

  • Contract Validity: This contract becomes effective upon confirmation of the service booking.
  • Governing Law: This contract is governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be settled by the competent courts in the Netherlands.
  • Amendments: HannyHond reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The client will be notified of any changes.
